Captain David worked his butt off making sure that we had a great day of Walleye fishing. He had a keen eye for when a fish was on the line. Boat was more set up for trolling than drifting but, still had a lot of fun reeling in Walleyes and some sheepheads. Caught our limit in 4 hrs. Not bad for late July.

Thank you for your review. Your Brother-In-Law said with the light our his preferred option was to troll. Prior to leaving dock in we took the drifting gear off the boat to provide more room. Full limit including Capt for July by 10 is 5-star.

i'm loyal to quality things, Carhartt, Levi's, Nike, Scrub Daddy and Atwater Taco's - if you need a quality charter trip, BlackH2oDog Charters is quality out of Port Clinton Ohio. Great Captain and a good person also.

Captain Dave is as good as they get. He described our options of type of fishing for the day and what we might expect for each method then gave us our choice of how we wanted to proceed. His expert knowledge led us right to the fish & we limited out. It was my first time with the trolling method and I had a lot to learn. Dave was patient with the mistakes I made and gave clear & gentle instructions on how to correct what I was doing. I lost some fish right at the boat because of my mis-handling, but Dave just patiently explained why it happened & how to avoid it happening again. He was SUPER attentive to all that was going on and made sure that our group had the best experience possible. He was successful at that. A ten star rating out of five possible is deserved. See less

Captain David put us on walleye within the first 15 minutes and kept everything organized throughout the trip. Our biggest catch measured 27 inches, and we made great memories while reaching our limit. We’re already planning another trip and highly recommend this charter for a Lake Erie walleye fishing experience.
