Ready to reel in some of Lake Erie's famous walleye? Our afternoon charter is perfect for anglers looking to score big on one of the Great Lakes' most prized catches. We'll cruise out onto Erie's productive waters, where the walleye are biting and the fishing action is hot. Whether you're a seasoned pro or it's your first time wetting a line, our experienced guides will put you on the fish and make sure you have a blast doing it. With room for up to four people, it's the ideal trip for a group of friends or family looking to make some serious fishing memories.
We'll meet up at the dock in the afternoon, load up the gear, and head out to where the walleye are hanging. Our 4-hour PM trip gives you plenty of time to get into the action without taking up your whole day. The boat's set up with all the top-notch gear you need - rods, reels, tackle, and bait. All you've gotta bring is your Ohio fishing license, some snacks, and whatever you want to drink. Our guides know these waters like the back of their hand, so we'll be on the fish in no time. Whether you're trolling or jigging, we'll show you the techniques that are working best that day to get those walleye in the boat.
Walleye fishing on Lake Erie is all about finding the right spots and using the right techniques. We might be trolling with crawler harnesses or crankbaits, or maybe vertical jigging if the fish are holding tight to structure. The PM bite can be especially good as the walleye move up to feed. Our guides will get you dialed in on the presentation, whether it's controlling your depth with planer boards or feeling for that distinctive 'tap-tap' on your jig. Don't worry if you're new to this - we'll walk you through every step, from setting the hook to netting that trophy fish.
"Enjoyed the trip very much. Excellent guide who was very attentive. Would highly recommend this charter." - Larry
Walleye are the crown jewel of Lake Erie fishing, and for good reason. These golden-eyed predators are known for their tasty white flesh and the challenge they present to anglers. They typically range from 2-5 pounds, but trophy fish over 10 pounds aren't uncommon in Erie's waters. Walleye tend to school up, so when you find them, the action can be fast and furious. They're most active in low light conditions, which makes our afternoon trips prime time for filling the cooler. These fish love to hang around structure and drop-offs, using their sensitive eyes to ambush baitfish in the darker waters. The excitement of feeling that telltale 'weight' on your line and the fight that follows keeps anglers coming back year after year.
Look, if you're thinking about a Lake Erie fishing trip, you can't go wrong with targeting walleye. It's some of the best fishing you'll find anywhere, and our afternoon charters put you right in the sweet spot for action. We've got room for up to four people, so grab your buddies or bring the family for a few hours of non-stop fishing fun. Our guides will put you on the fish, show you the ropes, and make sure you have a killer time out there. Don't let another season slip by without getting in on this world-class walleye action. Book your spot now and get ready to experience Lake Erie fishing at its finest. Trust me, once you feel that first walleye hit, you'll be hooked for life!

Walleye are the kings of Lake Erie, and for good reason. These golden-olive predators with their distinctive glowing eyes can grow up to 30 inches and 20 pounds. They're typically found in deeper water during the day, hanging around rocky bottoms and drop-offs. Come evening, they move to shallower areas to hunt. Spring and fall are prime walleye seasons here, but you can catch them year-round. Anglers love targeting walleye for their strong fight and excellent table fare. That flaky, mild meat makes for some of the best fish fries you'll ever have. To land a nice walleye, try slow-trolling with live bait rigs. A minnow or nightcrawler on a 3-6 foot leader behind a bottom-bouncing sinker is hard to beat. Work those edges where deep water meets shallow – that's where the big ones like to ambush their prey. And don't forget, low light conditions are your friend when chasing these light-sensitive fish.

I had a great time with Captain Dave with my neighbor and young son. He is a very good teacher, as we had no experience fishing this lake. Captain Dave is very knowledgeable about the area and where to find this fish, he was ready to go early which worked better for our schedule, and we caught our daily limit. Also, we were able to do a lot of the fishing (which few charters offer or have patience for), while learning a lot about technique and the area. Thanks for a great time and will definitely book Captain Dave next time we are in the area. Thank you!
