🇺🇸🎣 **An All-American Afternoon on Lake Erie!** 🎣🇺🇸
After dialing in a productive morning program, we headed back out for a 4-hour Independence Day afternoon charter with Rory and Glenda from Oklahoma along with Josh from Austin, Texas.
With holiday boat traffic a little lighter than I expected for a Saturday holiday, I took a risk and found a spot between the beach and Kelly's Island.  We started at the island and worked back towards the beach.  It turned out to be beautiful July afternoon. The fish made us work for them, but once we got the spread tuned in, the action stayed steady and the crew got to experience exactly what Lake Erie walleye fishing is all about.
The afternoon's best producers were BADMO LURES  small Arrowhead blades on crawler harnesses behind Off Shore Tackle Company  planer boards, running 40 to 60 feet back with 2-ounce weights. Silver-backed BADMO Arrowheads Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s 22 to 26 back.  Dipsey Divers set 26 to 36  pulling Rapala fire tiger J7s were as 🔥  as the afternoon sunshine.
The combination of good company, summer weather, and Lake Erie walleyes made for a memorable Fourth of July outing. Rory, Glenda, and Josh experienced a little bit of everything Lake Erie has to offer and finished the trip with a nice catch of fresh walleye.
To complete their Lake Erie experience, they also headed home with some local favorite Bayside Provisions breading mix, giving them everything they needed to turn their catch into a fantastic fish fry.

We headed out of West Harbor and set lines shortly out of the Harbor.  We worked our way North until a bit of the Lake Erie flu 🤢got to one.  We had a constant action with a big mix of Walleye,  Sheephead and Catfish.   Since we had one of the crew down, we took shelter by the 🎰. Grandpa Walleye Fishing Charters 

<p><div><span style="font-size: 16px;">Bob reached out to schedule a Lake Erie Walleye Experience with his grandsons.  We had a weather reschedule from April.  Today was fantastic.  Deep Lil Rippers 15/15 to 30/30 back 2 oz on the Off Shore Tackle Company OR-12 inline planner boards and 23 back on the Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Ronald and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip on Lake Erie. Weather started clear but became cloudy in the afternoon. Melissa and Mike were back from PA for another hands-on Lake Erie Walleye Experience.
We headed East of Kellys Island to 42 fow and set our lines.  The Off Shore Tackle Company OR 12 boards got a workout today.  Fish were coming in on a variety of approaches.
J7s on Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s.  J9s on Dipsey 3 setting 65 back.  Jointed Reble Fastrac 65 back.
On the boards we ran BADMO Arrowhead spinners both single double.  50 and 70 back 3 oz.  
Reef Runner Tackle Company Deep Lil Rippers 30/80 on the Offshore boards.  
Speed was 2.3 mph
Melissa and Mike were hands on everything as we were all reelers and we played catch and release until the fish cleaner opened.

Darrin and son Rysty and son-in-law Mike were aboard for their first Lake Erie Walleye Experience.  We headed NE of KI and set our gear in 42 fow.  
It was a bit of a grind today, bits were very light on every rod.  Dipsey 3 setting Rapala J7s 61 back.  Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s 50 back with crawler harnesses with BADMO LURES Arrowhead spinners.  On the Off Shore Tackle Company OR12 boards, we ran Ripplin Redfins 70 back on TruTrip 40s and crawler harnesses  50 to 70 back  with 3oz inline weights.
Speed was 2.1 to 2.2 mph

Family crew grinds out their first Lake Erie Walleye trip

What a blast this morning with this 1st time Lake Erie crew.  Trenton his son Abbot along with Brett and Damon were our to get hands on Lake Erie Walleye Experience.  
A short while after passing the Eagle leaving West Harbor, we reached the SE corner of the  KI Shoal, we set our gear and never got a break.  
Dipsey divers 3 setting with J7s.
Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TruTrip 50s 50 back with crawler harnesses with butterfly blades.
TruTrip 40s with BADMO Arrowhead single spinner withn11 mm beads.  On the inner Off Shore Tackle Company inline boards.
Outter boards were 3 oz inlines with Badmo crawler harnesses and Bandits 2 oz 90 back.
All rods were going off and everyone was busy.  
2.1 to 2.2 mph into and with the waves.

First-time Lake Erie crew reels nonstop Walleye action

Dennis and brother in law Jeff are visiting from Iowa to catch Lake Erie for Walleye because they needed it off their bucket list.  We headed East a little more than 25 miles and set up in 48 fow.  
We had 2 🔥 setups, the Dipsey 3 setting with Orange FJ7s 90 back and TruTrip 50s 50 and 60 back with butterfly blade harness.  
FJ7 took a Fish Ohio and a fry from this year. 
Close second was Bandit with Off Shore Tackle Company  2oz  Guppy weight 105 back behind OR-12 inline planner board.
We left at 7am and were done at  11, let these guys practice with the Offshore gear a little more after we all reeled our share.  
Nice cooler of Eyes headed back to Iowa.

Iowa crew checks Walleye off the bucket list on Lake Erie

Jeff and Dennis were back again today for another shot at Lake Erie Walleye.  With the predicted 15 to 20 mph winds 🌬🌊 we opted to do a Walleye Perch combo. The perch report is simple nothing going off of the Rattles.  So we put the casting harnesses to work in 6 to 20 fow.  For a strong  1 plus hours it was non-stop Catfish 3 to 6 pounds.  Then the Walleye heated up and they picked away until the had 2 - 2 day limits of Walleye heading back to Iowa.
We were within site of the Ship the entire day.
Great two days sharing Drift and Cast and open water trolling on Lake Erie.

One for the books today! I took Rick and their crew out on Lake Erie for a morning of walleye fishing with BlackH2oDog Charters. We set off from East Harbor State Park Marina in Lakeside Marblehead, OH as summer was in full swing. The early morning started off a bit cloudy, but we were treated to clearing skies in the afternoon. The water conditions at East Harbor State Park were prime for a day of fishing.

Dan and Daniel long time repeat customer here  from Southern California wanted a Walleye meal before heading home.  
Goal one was accomplished in quick order.  3/4 oz casting harnesses 10 count.  
We worked water that is easily reachable from their Sandusky location.
Dan also wanted a little hands on setting  Dipsey Divers and TruTrip 50s.  I gave Dan and Daniel a refresher and they went to work.  Jointed Storm was the hot bait.  36 back on 3 setting.  BADMO LURES Arrowhead spinners on Dipsey 1.5 30 back and 40 back on TruTrip 50s.  Speed was 2.5 mph.

Father-Son Duo from SoCal Hooks Into Lake Erie Walleye Action

Late Friday evening reach out by Trenton and Kendra who were wrapping up a week at the Lake Erie Islands area.  We left West Harbor just before sunrise with a bright full moon in the Western sky.  Trenton had the hot hand to start us off casting a 3/4 worm harness with a gold blade on a 10 count.  It was about 6 to 1 on fish mostly around 14.5" to get a 16" to 19" keeper.  
As the sun climbed in the sky Kendra got hot and they both worked hard to capture their Lake Erie Walleye.
We battled with pesky white perch.  We found a really fast retrieve aided in keeping white perch at bay and the Walleye didn't mind.
Seems, I don't get may good pics on casting days.  Fish cleaner was at the docks when we arrived, so no fish pics today.

Lake Erie Walleye Success for Trenton and Kendra Before Sunset

Hot bite and happy crew! I had the pleasure of taking David and their crew out on a fantastic afternoon trip with Black H2o Dog Charters in Lakeside Marblehead, OH. As summer settled in, we set out from East Harbor State Park under partly cloudy skies. The morning rain had cleared, leaving us with perfect conditions for our 4-hour Walleye adventure. Launching at 3:00 pm gave us the ideal window to target the evening bite. The water at East Harbor looked promising, and I was eager to put my years of experience on these waters to work for David and their crew. Wind Waves and Walleye 

Colin and Crew were rescheduled from late 2023 due to high winds and waves.<div><br></div><div>We head west of the Islands at sunrise knowing we would be eventually be greated with a line of showers that would last about 2 hours.  The back side of the rain had wind that quickly went above 20 mph with stronger gusts.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The Walleye were awesome to Colin, Jeremy, Bob and Sam.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>Off Shore Tackle Company boards running Bandit Lures and Dead Eye Crank Baits  at 65 back unassisted  and 55 back with 2 oz snap weights.</div><div><br></div><div>Colin captured his 1st Fish Ohio qualifier a 28.5" Walleye.</div><div><br></div><div>Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. <div><span style="font-size: 16px;">Jerry and his father-in-law Rick were aboard for late afternoon Walleye charter.&nbsp; We left www.eastharborstateparkmarina.com and headed West of the Islands.&nbsp; We set a mix of Bandit Lures and Dead Eye Crank Baits .&nbsp; Baits were run 40 to 65 behind Off Shore Tackle Company Offshore planner boards.&nbsp; Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co.
